image.jpgNew Year, New Magazines

The Kendallville Public Library has revamped and expanded its magazine collection. More popular craft, cooking and hobby magazines have been added. Pet owners will be excited by Dogster, and Game Informer goes hand-in-hand with our video game collection. Stop in to see all the titles that are new to our collection.

The check out policy has also been overhauled to get magazines into the hands of more people. Now, all magazines - even the newest issues - check out for one week. There’s no limit on how many you can have checked out at one time (but beware the Evergreen Indiana limit of 100 total items). If no holds have been placed on the magazine you have checked out, you can renew it once for an additional week.

Speaking of holds, a hold may be placed on any magazine issue - even the upcoming issue that hasn’t been released. Just search the Evergreen Indiana catalog from the library’s app or website at www.kendallvillelibrary.org. Once you find the magazine you’re looking for, click “Place Hold.” From there, you’ll see a list of available issues, and you can select the one you want. If you’re interested in learning how to place a hold, check out the Evergreen Indiana Patron Tools video tutorials on KPL Connect. It’s online at my.nicheacademy.com/kendallvillelibrary.

We take requests, too! If we don’t offer a magazine that you’re interested in (we now have 99 titles), then just ask. We may be able to add it to our collection. We also offer magazine sponsorships for $25 a year. Let us know if your business or organization would like to sponsor a subscription.
