Why not to re-shelve materials…
It may seem like a piece of cake to slide that book you were reading right back onto the shelf where it belongs. But think twice before you re-shelve that book, magazine, CD, DVD, etc.
Any time you use an item, whether you’re relaxing in the library, perusing a book or deciding you don’t want to check out that DVD after all, please do not re-shelve it.
The library has conveniently placed marked carts or baskets around the library, just for these items.
If you re-shelve an item yourself, the library can not count that item as an “in-house” use for state reports. Those reports help justify the purchase of new materials for the library.
So to help us continue to keep new materials on the shelves, please do not re-shelve the items that are available now.
