Preschool Storytime

Back to Basics
September 8 through October 23

We're going Back to Basics with this Preschool Storytime session at the library. Each week, the stories and activities will be centered on a new skill, such as colors, shapes, numbers, opposites, patterns, and learning about animal sounds and transportation.

Storytime is a great way to help children discover all the great things found in a library and to develop a love of reading. Songs are a perfect place to begin; parents and caregivers are encouraged to learn the songs at home with the children, so that they can share the storytime activities right from the start.

Kendallville Public Library

Preschool Storytime is open to children age 2-5. The weekly storytime sessions are Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. and Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. Registration is requested.

A few hints to assist our storytime readers. Please be prompt. Allow time for bathroom visits before storytime begins. Parents of two year old children are asked to sit on the floor with their children. Parents and caregivers of older children don’t need to stay in the room, but please don’t leave the library.

On the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m., Preschool Storytime will be replaced by the Book Buddies program. Click here to find out more.
