Staff Spotlight Shines on Barb Huth

Barb Huth will be celebrating a couple of milestones this fall...37 years married to her husband, Al, and 10 years in Technical Services at the Kendallville Public Library.

She definitely gets things done.

In her life, she’s raised three kids, earned her Master’s of Science degree in Education, taught physical education, was a teacher’s aide, a secretary and worked in the Technical Services Department at the University of Illinois Library.

At the Kendallville Public Library, she gets the books processed and ready for the shelves, works at the Circulation Desk and even does some of the yard work.  That’s certainly not a hardship for her, though, as some of her favorite things to do are mow the lawn and care for flowers.

She’s known around the area for her quilting expertise, but also loves to bead and crochet.

During the summers, she can be found hard at work at her desk, surrounded by new books that she is preparing for the shelves, or you might see her deep inside the landscaping at the library armed with gloves and clippers.
