Staff Spotlight Shines on Jen Tonsing Jen Tonsing is one well-rounded Youth Services Librarian. She graduated from Purdue University in 2003 with a B.A. in Comparative Literature with minors in Classical Studies and Jewish Studies. Then in 2006, she graduated from Indiana University with a Master’s in Library Science. With those credentials, you might think she has some inner turmoil about which school athletic department to support. Not Jen...for her, it’s the Boilermakers all the way, with some Indianapolis Colts thrown in. When she’s not cheering on her favorite team, she’s likely at work at the Limberlost Public Library, planning an elementary after-school program or hosting a Baby and Me Lap-sit session. She might also be meeting new adults who have signed up for one of her computer classes. She loves all aspects of her job, including “seeing my co-workers every day and working closely with them,” she says. Jen has worked at the Limberlost Public Library since November 2007, when she moved back to the area after working in Florida. At home, Jen spends time with her two cats, Hannah and Holden and catches up with some of her favorite TV shows. She wakes up to Morning Joe on MSNBC. After a busy day at work, she finds time to unwind to some of her evening favorites, like Countdown with Keith Olbermann, The Hills and In Treatment.
