Staff Spotlight Shines on Jill Jollief
This Assistant Circulation Clerk has worked at all three buildings that the Kendallville Public Library has occupied.
Back in high school, she worked at the Carnegie building on East Rush Street. About eight years ago, she came to work at the library when it was on West Rush Street and stayed on when the library moved into its current location at Bixler Lake.
The Kendallville native graduated from Kendallville High School and then Ball State University. “Go Cardinals!” she says.
When she’s not at work at the Circulation Desk or maintaining the magazine and newspaper collection, she watches a lot of professional sports (mainly the Pacers, Colts and Cubs) and college basketball.
Jill is very well read, and one of her favorite aspects of her job is helping patrons find new authors. She knows how difficult it can be to find a new author once you’ve finished all the books from your favorites.
Here are some of Jill's top picks:
Spring Came on Forever by Bess Aldrich Karen Kingsbury "Redemption" and "First Born" Series James Patterson's "Alex Cross" and "Women's Murder Club" Series Elizabeth Berg Harlen Coben Jeffery Deavers: The Devil's Teardrop (her current favorite mystery) Susan Sloan Patti Hill Hannah Alexander Sandra Brown Nancy Thayer
Non-Fiction: Biographies, Genealogy and Financial Topics Current Favorite: Giving by Bill Clinton Women's Health Magazines
